As a part of her ongoing Newsagency Sessions the beautiful Sarah Belkner has shared an amazing duet of Nick Drake‘s River Man, featuring Martha Marlow on guitar and Belkner herself on the piano.
The duet is a harrowing slow burner, with Belkner and Marlow’s vocals underlaid by a dark pool of piano and plucked guitar. Doing the original absolute justice, the cover adds an extra layer of depth with the girl’s pretty vocals and the brooding piano. The track was recorded at Free Energy Device Studios Camperdown, produced by Richard Belkner.
