M.I.A has released a new single, Swords, which will feature on her upcoming album/audio-visual project, Matahdatah.
The track was released with via the UK rapper’s new video, Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than A Border, which was the first in a series of videos and singles that will be released over the next few months. The video was shot in West Africa and India, with each video being shot in a different country, and was directed and edited by M.I.A herself. With the eventual completion of all videos and tracks that will form Matahadatah, M.I.A will have produced a full length album and film about borders.
