The 2018 Met Gala took place earlier this week, and in honour of the occasion, Mac Demarco, Homeshake’s Pete Sagar, Colin Caufield from DIIV and Demarco’s keys man, Alec Meen have formed a band. It’s called Met Gala (derr) and they just dropped a 7-inch, Red Carpet (derr).

Shared via Mac DeMarco’s YouTube channel, the 7-inch features two tracks, She’s My Sweet and Fuck the Toronto Raptors. The video’s description jokes that the songs were “recorded earlier today on the red carpet at the Met Gala.”
Also listed amongst the band’s personnel are Sadie Holliday, Andrew Neville, Greg Napier (drummer from Honeshake), and Caila Thompson (from Mozart’s Sister).
