As sporting grounds around the nation are being renovated into sterile arenas, there are few old-school grounds still standing. Of course Marrickville’s Henson Park is an exception to this.
Once again this year, the legendary Henson Park will be host to the Beer, Footy & Food Festival, courtesy of the mighty Newtown Jets.
Fancy a day of great beer, great food, and great footy? Marrickville’s Beer, Footy & Food Festival is probably an event you’re going to wanna head along to.
The day will involve a range of great food, provided by Burgers By Josh, Soul Burgers and Bovine & Swine, and flavoursome beer from Grifter Brewery, Young Henrys and Urban Winery.
Following huge turn-outs for the past two years (3,000 and 5,000 respectively), the festival are looking to out-do themselves this year, with an aimed attendance of 8,972 punters. So go help the Jets achieve their goal.
