Included in the lineup of Australian artists are Melbourne garage quartet Amyl and The Sniffers, who will return to the States are touring extensively with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. Local favourites Skeggs, whose latest album My Own Mess debuted at #2 in the ARIA charts, made the list too, as did Sydney rockers Body Type and NOIRE, the dream-pop duo hailing from Brisbane.
This year’s SXSW lineup saw over 2,000 performers from 65 different countries take to the stage in Austin, Texas for a week of performances, panels, films, parties and good times. Next year’s event, too, welcomes musicians from around the world. Among the lineup is Afghanistan’s Kabul Dreams, eX-Girl from Japan and Sweden’s Viagra Boys.
