Meet all your Aussie favourites selected to play at SXSW 2019

It’s that time of year again. The team at SXSW have just dropped their first official music lineup for 2019 and the cream of the Australian music crop has been selected. We’re sure they’re gonna do us proud.

SXSW 2019 will play host to a bunch of talented Australian musicians, on a lineup boasting acts such as The Beths, Amanda Palmer and The Chills.

Included in the lineup of Australian artists are Melbourne garage quartet Amyl and The Sniffers, who will return to the States are touring extensively with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. Local favourites Skeggs, whose latest album My Own Mess debuted at #2 in the ARIA charts, made the list too, as did Sydney rockers Body Type and NOIRE, the dream-pop duo hailing from Brisbane.

This year’s SXSW lineup saw over 2,000 performers from 65 different countries take to the stage in Austin, Texas for a week of performances, panels, films, parties and good times. Next year’s event, too, welcomes musicians from around the world. Among the lineup is Afghanistan’s Kabul Dreams, eX-Girl from Japan and Sweden’s Viagra Boys.

Overall, 18 Aussie acts made the first lineup announcement. Here is the full list of Australian artists representing us on the world stage:
