Milky Chance change it up with sky-high new single The Game

After dropping Daydreaming alongside Tash Sultana just last month, the name Milky Chance has been on everybody’s lips. The German duo, made up of Philipp Dausch and Antonio Greger, are winding up to their third album Mind The Moon, and they’ve just revealed the second single.

The Game is as easy a listen as they come, an unfiltered blend of rhythmic reggae and sing-a-long pop.

Milky Chance have won our hearts yet again with The Game, a bittersweet slice of folk pop for anyone who feels like life moves too fast.

Underneath the bright veneer, The Game covers a theme that’s becoming more and more important to musicians and those in the music industry; keeping your head in check amongst the madness of it all.

Milky Chance shared the single is about “that feeling of not knowing how to manage your relentlessly changing life. One moment you’re building something you’re at peace with, and then with one change the stability is all gone. It’s probably easier to learn to swim than build your own island.”

Despite the somewhat dark interior to the lyrics, it’s clear this tune is going to be a hit. I can already hear the festival crowds belting back “Just tell me ’bout the rules of the game”.

The Game follows on from Daydreaming featuring the talents of Australia’s own Tash Sultana, which has already clocked well over six million streams since it dropped just a month ago. If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Philipp and Antonio know how to write a hook that takes the world by storm.

The Game is out now, with Milky Chance’s upcoming album Mind The Moon coming on November 15th. Pre-order your copy here.
