Music Radar is kindly offering a goldmine of 275 free retro drum machine samples, perfect for your next electronic project.
The sample pack contains clips from legendary analogue units, such as the Soundmaster SR-88 drum machine, the Pearl SY1 Syncussion drum synth, and the drum section of the toy-like Casio MT40 synthesiser, which has enjoyed a bit of a revival over recent years. The Soundmaster SR-88 was one of the first digitally programmable drum machines.
The generous package was originally featured on Computer Music’s DVD cover and has both a folder of hits and a folder of loops. The pack’s rhythm styles range from early techno to old-school hip-hop. The pack includes processed and unprocessed samples and each audio clip is a royalty-free WAV, ready to slot into your DAW or sampler.
