Legendary Kiwi artist Neil Finn has just announced that he will be dusting off his massive back catalogue and brining it back to life for a couple of intimate live shows in Sydney and Melbourne this coming May.
In two extremely special evenings, Finn will perform songs from his revered career playing in bands like Split Endz, Crowded House and The Finn Brothers. Over the past few years he has played only a handful of solo shows (in 2010 at the Seymour Centre and one performance at Meredith Festival) in between commitments with his latest project the Pajama Club and recording his new album Dizzy Heights.
Finn will be performing solo at Melbourne and Sydney’s Recital Halls on the 27th and 30th of May respectively. “I find playing solo to be a very free environment where I’m able to explore strange tangents, reinvent old songs, reminisce with friends and lampoon at will,” says Finn. “I love it.”
I remember watching The Finn Brothers playing live sets on Music Max when I was a kid and being blown away. These shows are going to be incredible. Tickets go on sale this Friday 17th of April at 10am – see all the details here.
