Australia’s summer festival season has just created another reason to clear your calendars and it’s Victoria’s newest boutique three-day event called the Supermild Weekender.
The Supermild Weekender is a three-day music and camping festival with a considered approach to the arts. It’s a weekend filled with ‘sound, sustenance and stimulation’ just 90 minutes from Melbourne on November 8-10.
The Supermild Weekender will bring together a selection of world class dance music, food from acclaimed chefs and an Indigenous art program.
Created by Victorian event host Novel, there are over 25 local and international acts taking the stage. Leading the music program is Germany’s visionary selector Motor City Drum Ensemble (aka Danilo Plessow), who fronts an “ensemble of foundational and contemporary musical understanding of jazz, soul, house and hip-hop”. But it doesn’t stop there, Plessow will also be curating the entire Sunday program with a three-hour selection of his favourite tastemakers.
The lineup also boasts some major international talent, including UK producer Nightmares on Wax, Jeremy Underground, Acid Pauli, Late Nite Tuff Guy and GL.
The Supermild Weekender also aims to elevate the Australian dining and art scene with a bunch of cultural programs on offer. The visual element is headlined by Melbourne projection artist, whose award winning visual narratives explore Indigenous and First Nations sites.
As for food, renowned Australian chef Peter Gunn will be the event’s culinary headliner and with the help of an assortment of Australian chefs they aim to incorporate local and native ingredients into the winery’s acute menu.
The Supermild Weekender will run from November 8-10 at Mitchelton Winery in Nagambie, Victoria between November 8 and 10. Check out the full lineup and ticket information below:
