New York garage rockers TOP nachos are coming down under for a tasty tour

Hailing from New York, Eli Frank and Kenny Hauptman (aka TOP nachos) write slacker-style garage goof rock that touches on the more important topics in life such as catching your grandma smoking weed, getting high and eating pastries, and tinder.

The band have been on the road many times, and now they’re bringing their high-energy, no-fucks-given live show to Australia for a tour as tasty as their name.

New York goof rockers TOP nachos are heading down under for a tasty tour full of crunchy garage rock, punk singalongs and straight-up good times.

The duo released their debut EP Dank Side of the Moon via King Pizza Records almost a year ago now, a journey through stoned munchies, outlandish theories, and vigorous singalong punk. The album kicks off with Vegan Doughnuts, a tale about getting high, eating doughnuts, and hallucinating about doughnuts. Their other tracks touch on topics such as Tinder, selfies, and wanting to move to Canada because of Donald Trump – chanting for him to “go fuck yourself with your tiny hands.”

In April this year, the band submitted their track TOUR cats into NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert contest, and, with good reason, it was featured on NPR’s website. The song is an absolute banger from start to finish, with epic guitar riffs, catchy vocal harmonies, and “heyo” moments, all polished off with a garage rock crunch that makes you want to sing along and jump around like a lunatic.

TOP nachos are all about forgetting about the serious shit in life and having a bit of fun, with a laidback attitude that permeates through relentless drum beats, massive overdriven riffs, and catchy choruses. Their goofy and youthful approach to punk music leaves a triumphant aftertaste.

This pair are sure to put on one hell of a live show, so make sure you get out to see them while they’re in Aus. Check out all their tour dates below, and follow the links for more info.
