2017 will see the return of Newtown Festival, the day of the year when Camperdown Park turns into utter Newtopia.
A 39-year running annual festival pieced together by the legendary Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, it’s an essential calendar date and one we couldn’t be more excited for come November 12th.
Celebrate Newtopia with this year’s Newtown Festival, a day of wonderful wackiness in the iconic Camperdown Park.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of attending yet, you haven’t seen Newtown at its peak glory yet… not even close. Thousands of people descend on Camperdown Park and its surrounds, celebrating the event by attending, contributing to the festival or even just hosting a nearby house party.
Want to get involved in Newtown Festival 2017? There are a ton of ways you can help, either by opening a food or market stall on the day, performing at the event, showing off some of your art, volunteering or simply making a generous donation.
Hit them up through this link if you’re keen – applications for stalls run through until July 10 and they’ll be opening up the floodgates to volunteers on August 28th.
