Uranus has been everyone’s favourite heavenly body since the third grade. Even when I took an elective in Astronomy last year at uni, people were still giggling. It takes some effort to keep the jokes fresh, but there is no doubting the universal comic appeal of the enormous gaseous body.
Starting tonight (28th Feb) in Melbourne and culminating in two weeks in Sydney, Ngaiire (pronounced nigh-ree) is taking her single named after the hilarious planet on a bit of a tour. For those of you not familiar, Ngaiire has been making soulful, smooth, electronic tunes that are charming the pants off the entire nation. Lulu reckons she’s a pretty rad performer, and she has a pretty great taste in women.
Tour dates are below for, the whole affair kicking off at the Northcote Social Club tonight (28th Feb) alongside Ella Thompson and Yeo. Tickets are on the door for $20, opening up at 7:30. Head to her site to pre-purchase tickets.
