Aussie music legends Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins have joined forces to put on a special show in Bribie Island, a short day trip away from Brisbane.
The show is planned for Saturday, July 11th at the Sandstone Point Hotel. These two music icons won’t be the only ones gracing the stage.
Aussie music icons Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins join forces and announce a one-night-only show in the stunning Bribie Island.
In addition to Kelly and Higgins, Sydney artists Alex the Astronaut and Andy Golledge will be performing as well. Both of these additional artists have been announced as part of the huge Splendour in the Grass 2020 line up.
The show announcement comes after news that Kelly will play some charity shows on a cruise in Antarctica next year, as well as confirmation that Higgins’ track Arrows is featured on APRA’s 2020 Song of the Year finalist list (which you can vote on now!)
The two have previously banded together alongside 70 other artists for Green Music Australia’s Climate Change Declaration to fight against coal mining, backing a joint declaration which demands that the federal government commit to renewable energy sources.
Higgins and Kelly also performed together on RockWiz back in 2010 and it was a showstopper for Aussie viewers nationwide. Higgins is featured from 4:55. You can watch the performance below.
Tickets for the special event go on sale 9am on Monday March 9 through Ticketmaster.
