PREMIERE: Banjos and ballads at the Black Bear Lodge, with Daniel Challis

Never did we think the words banjo and ballad would appear together, but the world is just full of surprises. Especially when considering country singer Daniel Challis, a man with a tender voice and a story to match. His track Nothing Gonna Get Through To Me But You is a haunting one, offset by the vibrant sound of his plucked banjo. Such an instrument will no doubt conjure images of washboards and overalls for those unfamiliar, but is used to great effect to deliver a quiet and thoughtful performance. Luckily for us, our mates from Sessions were there to capture the whole affair.
