PREMIERE: Alt-rockers Elba Lane find solace in the sounds of the ’90s on Destination Outer Space

Birthed in a basement in East Brisbane back in 2015, alt-rockers Elba Lane return with their first single in two years. Destination Outer Space is the first taste of what’s to come for the band, whose sophomore album Destinations is due for release in mid-2019.

With a sound comparable to early ’90s-era Smashing Pumpkins, Blink 182 and Foo Fighters, alt-rock outfit Elba Lane return to airwaves with Destination Outer Space, their first release in two years.

Elba Lane’s forthcoming release Destinations will follow on from their 2017 debut album Arctic. The album has been crafted through numerous live shows, demos and recording in the two years since their last album was released.

The album’s first single Destination Outer Space plots a bold new course for the band, and sonically paves the way for a more assertive, cohesive and powerful sound. Destination Outer Space maintains Elba Lane’s original aural integrities – layered guitar-infused melodies, fuzzy solos and introspective lyrics that double as universal conundrums.

Those who find solace in the sounds of the early ’90s fused with the raw power and vulnerability of contemporary alternative rock will find Elba Lane’s music both nostalgic and original. Check out the clip for their latest single Destination Outer Space below:

Elba Lane is launching their new single Destination Outer Space this Saturday night at The Milk Factory in South Brisbane with The Stilts and Baltimore Gun Club. For more information, head to the Facebook event page.

Destination Outer Space is out on all major digital platforms Friday 18th of January, 2019.
