After recently gifting us the smooth, lovesick single Sway, Hindley today unveils his new EP, a collection of tunes titled Flourish on the Half Days.
Hindley’s new EP Flourish on the Half Days is a silky smooth reflection on the times we see ourselves change; the transitory periods in life you’ll too often blink and miss.
“Until my love is recognised as fruitful, I am confined to the half days to enjoy my spirit,” says Hindley of the EP.
“It’s between the obligations we can find our peace and it is no lie that this musical collection was made in this between.”
Flourish on the Half Days opens with Every Statement (Intro), a clever comment on the self-depreciation every artist faces. Hindley even leaves the Ableton click track in the tune, bringing further attention to its candid nature.
The rest of the EP rings with the DIY bedroom charm we’ve come to expect from the artist, as if you’re staring in the mirror and seeing Hindley himself speak back to you. It’s a portal directly into the writer’s, his transparent approach to music the secret to how these tunes remain so captivating.
