PREMIERE: Littlehawk’s new single Say It Twice will be stuck in your head for weeks

It was only a couple of months ago that Perth based singer-songwriter Gavin Arnold (otherwise known as Littlehawk) released his debut full-length album, Chinchilla. With its release, we were immediately introduced to his idiosyncratic brand of music.

Now, he has returned with another deeply infectious single Say It Twice… and let me tell you, this track will be stuck in your head for weeks.

On his new video for Say It Twice, Perth based singer-songwriter Littlehawk delivers a strange but captivating slice of idiosyncratic indie-rock.

Throughout the new single, Littlehawk navigates a strange concoction of rock, pop, folk, and electronica to deliver a sound that’s unlike anything else currently making the rounds. The track sees Arnold reflect on the ups-and-downs of early adulthood, confronting challenges and sticking with yourself.

I definitely had fun at Uni but I was also a little over-confident, thinking a career would sort of land in my lap. It wasn’t like that at all,” Arnold says.

I took a risk by moving to London and that’s when things started to pick up. Say It Twice is about being proud of who you are, but also being careful that you don’t get ahead of yourself.

The track’s accompanying video sees Littlehawk performing the track doused in surreal, colourful imagery. It’s a strange watch, but one you’ll be unable to rip your attention away from.
