On her debut track On Your Own, Melbourne/Berlin based artist Loni Rae Thomson delivers a striking slice of folky indie-pop that you’ll quickly get hooked on.
Throughout the new track, Thomson navigates a captivating blend of folk-rock and indie-pop to craft a sound that belongs entirely to herself.
With soaring vocal melodies, On Your Own subtly builds into a cathartic and emotive track that’ll draw you in and leave you hanging on each of Thomson’s words.
“On Your Own was the song that shifted everything for me… I was lucky enough to have lots of time in the studio and spent almost six months slowly chipping away in pre-production, trying out different ideas, sounds and formations of the songs,” Thomson says of the track.
“During this time my songwriting was also evolving, as was everything in my life.”
On Your Own is set to feature on a new EP from Thomson, and judging by the quality of what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tune from this Melbourne/Berlin based artist.
