PREMIERE: Become intoxicated by the psych goodness of Sunrose’s new EP Strawberry Wine

The bright, woozy sounds of Byron Bay-based four-piece Sunrose can have a strange effect on your psyche – it feels as if though the world is rotating around you.

On their new EP Strawberry Wine, the band sail through scenes of hallucinatory psych to deliver a collection of songs that’ll leave you not knowing which way is up.

Listening to Strawberry Wine, the new EP from Byron Bay psychedelic band Sunrose, feels like stumbling through a drunken afternoon on a sun-drenched beach.

Throughout its five-track duration, the new EP drips with swirling vocal melodies and infectious grooves that will seep into you bones.

On opener Into A Dream, Sunrose traverse punchy psych-rock verses and dreamy, light-headed choruses to create a wonderful feeling of disorientation, while on Takes Two, the band adopt driving guitars and organs reminiscent of Kaleidoscope or a laid-back Mummies.

Made up of Nick Bampton, Luke Mansfield, Ewin Lomas, and Julian Abbott, Sunrose already have an EP and a solid string of singles under their collective belt. Though on Strawberry Wine, we see the best qualities of their past material converge for a truly hypnotic EP.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the EP above, and catch Sunrose live at any of the following dates:
