PREMIERE: The debut EP from Wollongong outfit White Blanks is an absolute scorcher

White Blanks have dropped a highly anticipated debut EP ahead of a massive Aussie tour. Titled All I Wanted Was To Say Hello, if you plan on having a good time at one or more of their shows, we highly recommend you get your hot little hands on this record before you hit the floor.

This debut opens with warm, pounding surf rock, a dope collection of tracks and one which encapsulates that bright, adolescent rock and roll White Blanks have become known for.

White Blanks fans will not be disappointed on All I Wanted Was To Say Hello, and with a bunch of shows in the works there’s not much more we would ask for.

White Blanks have delivered a debut EP with enough grit to ensure that they’re far from smooth listening, but contemplative in a way that showcases their ability to realise complex and catchy music.

Health is Wealth turns out to take a slower, softer approach. Simple and soothing with an airy and faint vocal direction, track three is a real palette cleanser. In fact the whole record waxes and wanes over the course if its duration.

Final tracks Broken Brain and Feelings Gone both take the instrumentation to a new level. Free of any boundary or control, these last songs are fierce and fearless, building with reckless abandon.

White Blanks are hitting the road for an EP tour and tickets will be in massive demand so get around it as soon as possible. Gracing stages the likes of Bloodhound Bar in Brisbane, Rad Bar in Wollongong and The Bank Hotel in Sydney and supported by emo pop outfit Jacob for the whole of their East Coast adventure, they’re definitely going to deliver a show to remember.
