Presonus announces Studio One 5: a massive update to their flagship DAW

No company has risen to the upper echelons of the DAW world quite as quickly as Presonus. Their flagship software, Studio One, has only been around since 2009, arriving well after heavy hitters like Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton Live. Now, the company has just launched Studio One 5.

Years in the making, version 5 is packed with a slew of updates. Stock plugins are bulked up and given a fresh new look, comprehensive score editing is on hand and for the first time, Studio One can join you live on stage.Presonus Studio One 5

Presonus’ flagship DAW has come a long way in its short life. With Studio One 5, many improvements have been made including score editing, a new Show Page and more.

Famous for its speedy and intuitive workflow, the line between the musical and the pro audio worlds have been blurred even more with features like the new and improved Score View. Multiple tracks in a session can be viewed through the framework of traditional notation, plus you can add articulations without needing to record a new MIDI performance.

Another headline update is the Show Page. This is the environment for crafting a Setlist by adding virtual instruments, backing tracks and plugins, all of which are easily editable on the fly.
