Pussy Riot rush the field of World Cup final, stage epic protest

During the 2018 World Cup final at Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, feminist punk collective Pussy Riot rushed the field to protest Russia’s political and prison system.

Immediately following the protest, Pussy Riot members took to social media to confirm they were responsible.

The world’s biggest bad asses, Pussy Riot, have rushed the field of the World Cup final dressed in old school cop uniforms, and called out the Russian political system.

In a Twitter statement, the band shared a list of demands for the Russian government, such as “stop illegal arrests on rallies,” “allow political competition in the country,” and “let all political prisoners free.”

They later uploaded a video to YouTube titled Policeman Enters The Game, which featured footage of the incident. YouTube quickly blocked the video, citing it as a violation of copyright.

The citizens in question were taken to the local police station,” the Moscow branch of the Russian Interior Ministry told the Associated Press.

The protest occurred in the 52nd minute of the world’s most viewed sporting event, with three women and one man rushing the field simultaneously.

In the game, France defeated Croatia 4 – 2, with some members of the Croatian team blaming the protestors for putting them off their game. Righto boys.
