Rick and Morty are back in series of horror film parody claymation shorts

The triumphant return of Rick and Morty is still lingering on the horizon, but when exactly it will arrive is currently unsure. Co-creator Dan Harmon said that the show would be back by the end of 2016, but with New Year in pretty clear sight, it looks like that isn’t going to happen.

Don’t fret though, the folks over at Adult Swim have a surprise for you. They recently released a series of claymation shorts parodying classic horror films called Rick and Morty: The Non-Canonical Adventures, and they’re awesome.

Hankering for a fix of new Rick and Morty? Adult Swim have just released a collection of incredible claymation shorts mashing up Rick and Morty with classic horror films.

Paying homage to cult horror classics like Halloween, The Thing and The Fly, as well as Honey I Shrunk The Kids and newer sci-fi film Ex Machina, the clips were animated by British filmmaker Lee Hardcastle, who you might know from this brutal mashup of claymation classic Pingu and The Thing or this weird AF Simpsons couch gag.
