Ricky Martin’s 21-year-old nephew claims he is a victim of incest and domestic violence at the hands of his uncle.
Earlier this month, a restraining order was filed against Puerto Rican singer, Ricky Martin by an anonymous individual. Now, according to Spanish publication Marca, that person has been revealed to be Ricky’s 21-year-old nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez.
Dennis, who is Ricky’s stepsister’s son, alleges that he and Ricky Martin have recently ended a seven-month relationship.
As stated in the Latin Post, the restraining order placed against Ricky prevents the singer from “approaching, harassing, intimidating,” or “threatening” his nephew. It also reports that Ricky “loitered” around his nephew’s home, resulting in Dennis fearing “for his safety.”
Ricky Martin, and his legal team, have vehemently denied all of the allegations made against him.
Claiming that Dennis struggles “with deep mental health challenges,” Martin’s legal team stated the following to Daily Mail: “Ricky Martin has, of course, never been – and would never be – involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting.”
They continue: “We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”
