Shania Twain stunned Ryan Reynolds (and the world) with her new turbo pink hair and cheeky lyric change at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.
Shania Twain served an iconic look and vibe at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards ceremony in California on Tuesday (December 6). She dominated the red carpet with her new turbo punk hairdo, paired with a dazzling leopard print outfit reminiscent of the catsuit worn in the video for her 1997 hit, That Don’t Impress Me Much.
As if the pink hair and fierce leopard ensemble weren’t spellbinding enough, she also had more surprises in store for later in the evening. While performing That Don’t Impress Me Much during the ceremony, Twain made a cheeky lyric adjustment that left a certain Hollywood actor red-faced.
Switching Brad Pitt’s name with Ryan Reynolds, who was present at the ceremony to receive the People’s Icon Award, Twain sang, “okay, so you’re Ryan Reynolds…that don’t impress me much.” Sending Reynolds into a fit of giggles, he pointed at himself in shock and amazement. “Me?” he asked.
The Deadpool actor was in no way offended though. After the ceremony, he re-Tweeted Shania Twain’s clip of the moment, which she captioned, “sorry not sorry,” and stated the following: “I can’t think of a more iconic, smart and beautiful person to not impress all that much. Thank you for an amazing night, @ShaniaTwain.” Witness the iconic moment yourself below.
