Sticky Fingers tackle Sydney lockout laws in cover of Ghost Town

Sticky Fingers have dropped some new music for us this week. Adding their distinct sound to the track, they have covered The Specials’ Ghost Town, with the hope it will address the current lockout laws affecting their hometown of Sydney.

Sticky Fingers bassist Paddy Cornwall explained to triple J how the cover originated, saying “A few months ago, me and the lads were listening to The Specials version of the song and then we all just started laughing because the lyrics are so poignant to how Sydney is feeling right nowThis town is turning into a ghost town/all the clubs are closing down.”  You can hear Ghost Town here.

The band have also shot a video for the track, which can be expected later in the week.
