T54

T54 are three manly men of many talents. Their main talents however (and those which concern us today) lie within their music. With the multi-tasking abilities of Cheers Bud on guitar and lead vocals, Samuel David Hood on bass and Mathew Russell Scobie on drums, you can be rest assured that your senses will experience the optimum pleasure of what these dudes have to offer.

t54 band

These Christchurch based lads have been slugging it out since April 2009, grinding their gears and touring through both New Zealand and Australia, including a slot at 2011’s Big Day Out. In 2012, T54 were signed by the well-known NZ label Flying Nun Records. Since then, the boys have been slamming out an array of EPs, albums and music videos. Their most recent album In Brush Park was released in November 2013. The opening track Nails Painted is cleverly deceptive. As the song starts off, it revels in the acoustic harmonies of each player, but the mood suddenly changes and bursts into a loud reverberating paradise. The track is testimony to the band sticking to their roots while still managing to refine and mature their own original sound.

Enrich yourselves in all T54 goodness – you can listen to and support these game changers on their Bandcamp page.
