At the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift scored big – we’re talking 10 wins big, making her the second-biggest winner of the night (The top winner of the night is Morgan Wallen with 11 awards).
The awards show went all kinds of modern, streaming online with virtual chats from music VIPs and pre recorded performances in different spots across the globe.
Mariah Carey even threw in some holiday cheer with “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
In her acceptance video, Taylor gave credit where credits due, “Well, this is unreal. The fact that you guys have given me 10 Billboard awards, I am talking to the fans specifically, none of this happens without you.”
She gave a nod to her fans, giving major shout outs for making “The Eras Tour” so epic: “I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have you in my corner and caring about the music that I make, so thank you… thank you 10 million times for this.”
It wasn’t all smooth for Taylor– she had to hit pause on her Rio de Janeiro show due to some scorching temperatures and the sad passing of a fan after her last gig in Brazil.
Despite the hiccups, the Billboard Music Awards turned out to be a sweet moment to cheer on our fave music stars, modern streaming glitches and all.
