It may as well be Christmas morning for Taylor Swift fans, waking up to the news that the singer will soon be releasing her re-recorded sophomore album Fearless.
The news comes after Swift surprised fans in 2020, secretly releasing not one but two albums during the pandemic and a Netflix documentary.
Swift made the announcement on Good Morning America, where she explained that the re-release of Fearless would be the first in the series of album remakes set for release one at a time in the coming months. “I’ve now gone back and recorded those so that everyone will be able to hear, not only the songs that made the album but the songs that almost made it. the full picture,” she told Good Morning America.
Her re-recordings come after her public feud with former label Big Time Machine and record executive Scooter Braun. After parting ways from Big Time Machine, Taylor Swift announced publicly that she would be recording and releasing her old albums to regain control over her music.
Swift announced that the first single Love Story would be released at midnight Friday (Pacific Standard Time). I don’t know about you, but the new version of Love Story will be on repeat Valentine’s Day, taking us all back to teenage selves yearning for the love story we never got.
