It’s been 20 years since Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, and to celebrate, they’ve announced a box set of epic proportions.
Named Origin of Muse, the collection includes nine audio CDs and four coloured records. The entire thing is housed in a 48-page casebound book and includes original posters, setlists, photographs, and contact sheets.
Muse have announced Origin of Muse, a huge box set of CDs, vinyl, previously unreleased demos, posters, and more, in celebration of 20 years of Showbiz.
Released in 1999, Showbiz was the first album to gain the band recognition, and whilst it received mixed reviews from critics at the time of its release, it has garnered an increasingly favourable reception over the years.
According to Muse’s website, the box set “will chronicle the band from their early beginnings in Devon, their early demos, first EPs, debut album and breakthrough record Origin Of Symmetry.”
If that’s not comprehensive enough, the set will also feature a previously unreleased collection of their first demos, B-sides for each album, instrumental demos, and live performances spanning the early days to the band’s headline performance at the Reading Festival for the 10th Anniversary of Origins Of Symmetry.
