The Official Charts Company has revealed their first vinyl statistics of 2017, revealing the best selling vinyl records of the year so far.
And boy oh boy, it’s a quirky state of affairs.
What are the 10 best selling vinyl records of 2017 so far? Take a few shots in the dark, because you’re probably fucking spot on.
Amongst the top 10 are only three new releases (Bowie’s Legacy is technically a 2016 release, but a greatest hits album) in Human from Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, I See You from The xx and Divide from Ed Sheeran, which took the pole position.
It seems the vinyl revolution has yet to trickle past the nostalgic hit records of yesteryear. Let’s just take a second to remember: it’s perfectly fine to have a record collection without Dark Side of the Moon or Rumours.
01. Divide – Ed Sheeran
02. Back to Black – Amy Winehouse
03. Legacy – David Bowie
04. Human – Rag ‘n’ Bone Man
05. Abbey Road – The Beatles
06. Rumours – Fleetwood Mac
07. I See You – The xx
