The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards are pretty much the best thing ever

Animals are beautiful, but even the most gracious of creatures go full derp on occasion.

Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards finalists for 2016 have been announced – take a look at animals going full derp mode below.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is back for another year, showcasing some of the best photography that capture animals at their goofiest. Entries for the competition have already closed, but they have now released a shortlist of 40 finalists, some of which you check out below.

The awards are also for a good cause, with an initiative also put forward by the The Born Free Foundation, a conservation and wildlife charity, aimed at getting people to talk about conservation and wildlife. You can read more about that here.
