The new Joker of the internet strikes again.
Back in 2005, Rockstar Games took a major hit thanks to one of the most controversial leaks to ever grace gaming.
Inside the code of GTA: San Andreas, modders were able to unearth hidden content in the code: an unfinished sex minigame that allowed the main protagonist to bang their polygonal girlfriend.
For the time, it was a pretty big deal that led to a temporary ban in Australia, media backlash and million dollar settlements for misleading ratings boards.
Now Rockstar Games is on the cusp of more scandal thanks to a tsunami of GTA VI leaks that continue to sweep the internet.
Despite former devs calling this situation a “nothing burger” compared to the ‘Hot Coffee’ scandal of old, it looks like things have been shaken up even further.
Calm down everybody. The leaks are a nothing burger.
As a marketing strategy R* is trying to keep the game under wraps longer than other publishers. All that has happened is that some footage has escaped. Slightly ahead of the Netflix thing next week.

The Poseidon behind the rising tide of leaks is an anonymous crypto owner and hacker known as Cyberleek.
The new villain has been causing all sorts of mischief by slowly leaking pieces of the game in retaliation to Rockstar’s decisions to push a solely digital release, among other things.
Cyberleek has even been making some profit, by allowing fans to vote for what will be leaked next if they choose to pay a fee.
Not only that, his crypto is plastered over everything, even the footage of leaks.
Today, newly-posted footage showed GTA VI’s main character exploring a nudist colony.
Every detailed pixel of male and female genitalia is fully exposed as the character zooms in with binoculars, consequently causing a fight breaking out.
Up until now, nudity in the Grand Theft Auto saga could only be found in GTA V’s Vanilla Unicorn strip club, so it’s a surprising feature to see.
If it weren’t for the leak, this little addition to the game could have been a fun collective moment to discover at launch, similar to the discovery of shrinking horse genitalia in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Along with the footage, a watermarked message claims that footage of a “Lucia-led prologue” could be released next.
With ‘dead man switch’ claims being debunked and Cyberleek urging gamers to protest Rockstar Games, who knows what the hell will happen next.
