After a gruelling wait, everybody’s favourite show is making a final return and it’s sure to pack an absolute punch.

After eight years of major battles, plot twists, heroic deaths, and screaming “Why?!” at the screen, the final seasons is upon us, and winter looks brutal. “Death has many faces” says Arya Stark as we are hit with an onslaught of tense faces, tears, and smooches. One thing is for sure there will be a lot of dragons in this season.
HBO chief, Richard Pepler described GOT’s last six episodes as the equivalent of “six movies”.
“The reaction I had when watching them was like ‘I’m watching a movie’. They knew the bar was high, they’ve exceeded the bar… Everybody’s in for a storytelling treat of magical, magical proportions.”
Once the series is done and the tears stop rolling, however, fear not. Your journeys in Westeros are not done. A prequel series starring the likes of Naomi Watts, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Alex Sharp, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Ivanno Jeremiah is currently in the works. With S.J. Clarkson directing the pilot and Jane Goldman installed as showrunner, the spin-off is aiming for a 2020 debut.
