It’s a rare occasion to have the chance to live in a place that was previously lived in by Australian rock and roll royalty.
The former Paddington home of INXS frontrunner Michael Hutchence is up for rent, and this is an opportunity not to be missed, that’s if you’re cashed up.
The house was purchased in 1985 for $105,000 by Michael Hutchence and his girlfriend at the time, Michelle Bennett. It was then sold in 1995 for $285,500, just two years before his passing.
According to Real Estate, the two-bedroom property located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs was sold last month for $1.72 million, with the owner putting it up for $1150 a week. It has since undergone major renovations to allow for more light-filled rooms and the conservation of original fireplaces. Supposedly that boasts a contemporary vintage charm.
In other news, an upcoming documentary titled Mystify which focuses on the life of Michael Hutchence is set to premiere later this year, with a string of unreleased songs to be featured on the soundtrack.
