The T2: Trainspotting soundtrack has leaked online and it’s just as rockin as the first

Danny Boyle’s long awaited sequel to his 1996 cult classic Trainspotting is coming our way on February 3rd, once again spinning us headfirst into the chaotic lives of Ewan McGregor as Renton, Robert Carlyle as Begbie, Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy and Ewen Bremner as Spud.

A defining feature of the original has always been it’s high energy soundtrack, a smattering of raging rock n’ roll, underground British electro and a healthy dose of Iggy Pop. Due to a screw-up on Amazon’s part, the tracklist for T2: Trainspotting has leaked online, and it’s in every way as gnarly as the first.

The T2: Trainspotting soundtrack has leaked online, revealing the screaming string of artists who we’ll be hearing during Danny Boyle’s long-awaited sequel.

The Amazon link has since been removed, but a tweet from Trainspotting author Irvine Walsh seems to have confirmed it’s authenticity:

Here’s the tracklist:

Iggy Pop makes a triumphant return with Lust for Life (which appeared on the original soundtrack), albeit with a twist from The Prodigy. Underworld also features twice, once more than they did in Trainspotting.

Edinburgh hip-hop stars Young Fathers are clear winners, nailing down three tracks across the soundtrack. Big names Blondie, Queen, Run DMC and The Clash also slip in, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s 1984 classic Relax also appears.

T2: Trainspotting is out February 3rd.
