Turns out Trump had quite the literary correspondence going on with Michael Jackson and Elton John.
TBH, we don’t often turn our attention to Trump, after all, there are plenty of other things going on that should be celebrated and discussed at length, but this had us a little intrigued.
Ex-President, Trump has revealed plans to release a book full of letters, spanning the political landscape all the way to the Entertainment sector, and this is where it piqued our interest because he has plans to release correspondence from Michael Jackson, Elton John, and among others, Lady Diana.
It was no secret that Trump and Michael Jackson had a long friendship. In the 80s and 90s the duo was among the richest and most famous faces in America. Their friendship timeline literally spans decades.
It has not yet known whether the book will include correspondence from his presidency, but there is always hope. If you recall when Trump famously described exchanging “love letters” with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un between 2018 – 2020 during diplomatic negotiations.
In 2019, the New York Times revealed the contents of a letter Sir Elton John, sent to Trump declining to play at his presidential inauguration.
“I have given it a lot of thought, and as a British National, I don’t feel that it’s appropriate for me to play at the inauguration of an American President. Please accept my apologies,”
Elton John played at Trump’s Third wedding to Melania Trump in 2005, so chances are, this one isn’t going to be in the book.
Trump has also previously discussed in public, his correspondence with the late Princess Diana, claiming in a Howard Stern Interview in 1997, that he “could have” had sex with Princess Diana, which if you recall, was tactically unearthed during the 2016 presidential campaign by his detractors no doubt.
I doubt any letter’s from the late great Princess Diana remark on the above, and given Trump, had a long and sustained friendship with Jackson, and repeatedly spoke publicly in his defense, at least prior to the Wonderland Doco, at any rate, it will be interesting to see what on earth Michael Jackson had to say to the ex pres, guess we will have to wait with bated breath.
