US rapper Tyler, the Creator has recently been the subject of controversy following a ban of his tour in both Australia and the UK respectively. In response, Tyler has released a new track, dubbed Fuck It, to weigh in on the controversy.
Tyler was previously barred from performing in Australia due to some the misogynistic content within his lyrics. The group Collective Shout successfully campaigned to have Tyler’s visa denied by the Australian government. The group had previously attempted to do the same in 2013 but were unsuccessful, resulting in Collective Shout’s director Coralie Alison receiving death threats from Tyler’s fans on Twitter.
