Victoria has coughed up another set of home grown rockers. Residual are a buzzing indie-rock four-piece demanding local attention for their live shows, top-notch debut EP, and one daring but undoubtedly catchy mash-up cover.
The band received heaps of attention last year with their mash up of Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off with Chet Faker’s Talk Is Cheap in a musically impressive, easy-listening cover which brought the two songs together in a way nobody expected.
Now they are back with a new single and an EP on the way.
Residual combine toned back rock ‘n roll sonics with raw, emotive vocals on All For You. Victorians and Sydney-siders can catch the four-piece on tour this month – and one lucky fan will also win the chance the have the band play at their house party!
Their latest single All For You launched earlier this month, so naturally the boys are about to kick off a Victorian tour with one Sydney date on top.
To celebrate the release of their forthcoming EP Haunt, due out August 26, Residual and Parlour Gigs will be giving one lucky fan the chance to win an exclusive performance at their house party.
To be in the running, fans need to pre-order the EP, share a screenshot on Facebook or Instagram tagging the band, and explain in 25 words or less why Residual should play at their house party. Sounds pretty sweet to us! You can enter here.
