Adelaide rockers, Bad//Dreems recently came through the Live at Enmore studio on a recent sojourn through Sydney. The full band sweated it out in studio, dishing up a full-blooded version of Salad, which appears on their latest album, Doomsday Ballet.
Spawned from a text and a line from The Simpsons, the track was delivered with the 5-piece’s trademark swagger and hook-laden riffs.
Bad//Dreems was the latest to swing by the Live at Enmore studio. They kept it loud and lively for their performance of Salad, direct from their new LP, Doomsday Ballet.
The pounding drum and bass rhythms set the backdrop for the dual-guitar onslaught. Cutting through the mix was the unmistakable voice of frontman Ben Marwe.
Guitarist and lyricist Alex Cameron reflected on the song’s origins:
“Ben sent me a text message…and he said ‘you don’t win friends with salad anymore’.”
It was only after the song was completed that he discovered it was from The Simpsons. In any case, it worked out for the best.
