Just when you thought things at the White House couldn’t get any zanier, President Donald Trump has topped himself with an objectively badass but slightly off-kilter stunt… he entered the White House to Metallica’s Enter Sandman.
This caps off Trump’s bizarre affiliation with music of late, from freeing A$AP Rocky from a Swedish prison to various meetings with Kanye West.
President Donald Trump has gone full rogue, this time entering the White House to the tune of Metallica’s metal banger, Enter Sandman.
Perhaps the most hilarious part of the video is the awkward delay in anticipation of Trump’s entrance, accompanied by the extended intro of Enter Sandman.
To be fair, he didn’t randomly choose Enter Sandman as his entrance track (as great as that would’ve been). The real reason was because he was presenting the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Mariano Rivera, a retired Yankees pitcher who was nicknamed “Sandman”.
Trump has had his fair share of run-ins with rock stars who have been dissatisfied with the President’s use of their tracks at his rallies. Guns N’ Roses have voiced their dissatisfaction at the use of their music, as has the Prince estate.
Luckily for the President, Metallica present themselves as a non-political band. On another note, Metallica’s extensive stadium tour of Australia is set to kick off towards the end of October.
