Grow Your Own may be a festival in its infancy but trust us, soon it’s going to be up there with the best.
In just a few short years Grow Your Own has gone from a grassroots event held in Forster NSW, to one of the biggest dates on the town’s calendar. In no small part, this is thanks to founder and organiser Holly Rankin – also known as Jack River.
Grow Your Own is going bigger than ever in 2019, and we couldn’t be more psyched to see it flourish. We spoke to Jack River for the lowdown on her event.
In January 2019 Grow Your Own will host a huge lineup, including DMA’s, Hockey Dad, The Preatures, Mallrat and heaps more. The bump in size came after Holly connected with Jess from Secret Sounds (the team behind Falls Festival, Splendour In The Grass and more) and they decided to attack Grow Your Own as a team.
“I’ve looked up to Jess Ducrou from Secret Sounds from the beginning of my career,” Holly shared, “she’s one of the most important figures in our industry starting Homebake and Splendour in the Grass, then going on to acquire Falls Festival.”
“I knew pretty quickly I wanted to work with her, so it’s a massive dream come true.”
