Weet-Bix has been an Aussie staple since the 20s, with their theme song having found a place in many an Australian heart, and now Sanitarium are calling on Aussie musos to remake the iconic jingle for a nice little reward of $10,000.
Are you a Weet-Bix kid who happens to write a snazzy tune or two? Today may just be your lucky day.
The chorus of the song must stay the same, but the entrants are free to rewrite the intro, and middle verse – oh, the possibilities!
The best entries will be shortlisted for airplay in a new TV advertisement with the winner scoring $10,000, a Sanitarium prize pack, and a half-day studio recording session. Two runners up will also receive $3,000 (2nd prize) and $2,000 (3rd place).
The winner will also be given the chance to collab with country legends Troy Cassar-Daley, and Amber Lawrence on the track. Not a bad deal!
