What you missed at our exhibition: Daniel O’Toole – Volcano Toast

Last week we held the latest event in our newly opened art space, Happy Studios. Daniel O’Toole was welcomed in for his body of work Volcano Toast; an album listening party and exhibition of his abstract works on canvas.

Daniel O’Toole, otherwise known as Captain Earwax or Ears, is an artist whose work crosses the boundaries of music, street art, and live performance. Volcano Toast marked his fourth LP.

Check out what went down when we opened the Happy Studios space to Daniel O’Toole for his exhibition, Volcano Toast.

While the spiralling sounds of Volcano Toast reverberated off the walls, guests mingled and took in the abstract works made for the album. Each of the 13 paintings represented one of the record’s tracks, from the gorgeously ambient Thickets to the tumultuous Tumble Town.

Young Henrys also jumped on drink duties for the night, providing plenty of especially delicious G&Ts and Stayer tinnies for the cohort.

Check out what went down above, and be sure to give Volcano Toast a listen if you missed the night.
