The nominees for the 2015 Mercury Prize have been revealed. One of the most prestigious awards in music, 12 artists have been chosen to be in the running.
Awarded to the standout album produced by artists from the UK and Ireland, the following 12 artists have been nominated.

Gaz Coombes – Matador
C Duncan – Architect
Eska – Eska
Florence + The Machine – How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
Ghostpoet – Shedding Skin
Jamie xx – In Colour
Roisin Murphy – Hairless Toys
Slaves – Are You Satisfied
SOAK – Before We Forgot How To Dream
Wolf Alice – My Love Is Cool
Scottish hip-hop trio Young Fathers took out the award last year, with the likes of The xx, James Blake, Pj HArvey and Arctic Monkeys amongst the previous recipients.
