Sydney’s Out On The Weekend festival gets cancelled less than a week before making its debut

The first instalment of Sydney’s Out On The Weekend Americana themed festival has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales, just a week out from the event’s debut.

The event was set to see the likes of Kasey Chambers, Dawes and The Morrisons take the stage this Saturday, October 24. Event promoters have said “We regret to advise that due to less than anticipated ticket sales, we are no longer proceeding with Out On The Weekend at Bella Vista Farm on October 24. While our expectations were not huge, we are greatly surprised at the lack of sales and cannot proceed both financially or logistically with the number of tickets sold.”

At this stage, ticket holders are being offered free tickets to a selection of shows around Sydney. There is the option to choose between Sam Outlaw, Jonny Fritz, Shelly Colvin and Robert Ellis as Newtown Social Club on Sunday October 25, or Jamestown Revival at Newtown Social Club on Thursday October 22.
