This year the famed Woodford Folk Festival will be turning 30 and to celebrate it has just announced a massive first batch of artists, which will eventually swell to over 2000 bands and panel speakers across 25 different stages in the Woodfordia mini-city.
Topping the bill is Courtney Barnett, Josh Pyke and Michael Franti with a slew of genres and style filling out the lineup including indie poppers San Cisco, electronic hip-hop duo Boo Seeka, and Aussie rapper Briggs.
Speaking at the festival will be Noel Pearson, who will be discussing Indigenous Constitutional rights, plus Mark Jones and Albert Wiggan, who will be talking about Environmental World Heritage Listing, hosted by George Nugus.
The festival will take place over New Years and is always a massive, family-friendly celebration. Get ticket info and all the details here.
