Taking a break from his band The Veils, London based singer-songwriter Finn Andrews has travelled to New Zealand (the country where he spent his high school years) and recorded a new solo album titled One Piece At A Time.
Now, we’ve been treated to the haunting first taste of this new record with Love, What Can I Do? – a sprawling and melancholic number that’ll rip your heart apart and stitch it back to together in the space of its three-and-a-half minute duration.
It’s time to open your heart and let Finn Andrews inside. His new single Love, What Can I Do? is melancholic and completely mesmerising.
With ethereal piano lines, sparse percussion, and cinematic string arrangements, Love, What Can I Do? sees Andrews glide through a unique blend of genres that’ll hit you right in the guts.
“I had something I felt I really needed to say, and I think for once I managed to say it,” Andrews says of the track.
This gloomy piano ballad will blanket your surrounds with its endearing meld of soul, folk, and pop. Reminiscent of old-world, sixties and seventies sounds, Love, What Can I Do? still feels fresh and innovative.
