There’s a lot of cool stuff happening in Brissy right now, and six-piece band The Urban Sea are playing a big role in that. Previously known as Fugue, The Urban Sea’s latest single, Underground Love, is tight and polished. After a number of years playing around Brisbane, the band have honed in on an original style.
Combining a classic rock style four-piece with keyboard and sax, The Urban Sea have created a niche for themselves in which they shine. And after a number of successful releases as Fugue, and a series of shows around Queensland, we can’t wait to see what they do next.
Brisbane-based six-piece The Urban Sea are back with Underground Love; three-and-a-half-minutes of genre-bending greatness.
The rock and RnB influences are evident in the track, resulting in a powerful and punchy single. From the moment Underground Love kicks off, Chris Macdonald’s soulful vocals and tight rhythm section shine through, driving the track. The reoccurring sax riff punctuates the choruses and verses with an expert punch.
