Penelope Pettigrew is returning to The Newsagency for another epic performance

For the past number of years, Sydney-based artist Penelope Pettigrew has been carving out an incredibly unique space for herself in the Australian music scene. With her irresistible blend of soul and R&B, she has crafted a sound that belongs entirely to herself.

So later this month, when she returns to The Newsagency in Annandale, we strongly recommend you head along and see what all the fuss is about for yourself.

Penelope Pettigrew live newsagency

Following a sold-out show at The Newsagency last year, Sydney artist Penelope Pettigrew is returning for what promises to be another epic night.

Following a sold-out show at The Newsagency last November, March 27th will see her highly anticipated return. With nine years of performance experience under her belt (including pre-game NRL shows), it should go without saying that this is not a performance you want to miss.

For the set, Pettigrew has assembled a lineup of some of Sydney’s top musicians. On the night, she’ll be accompanied by guitarist James Bernauer, bassist Suzanne Yasa, keyboardist and synth player Tom Lindner, drummer Kevin Weaver, backing vocalist Samantha Walton, and a special appearance from acoustic guitarist Laura Vella.

Penelope strives to create an environment at her shows where all are welcome and the world becomes a more colourful and accepting place. She is a passionate activist for the LGBTQIAPK community, with her soon to be released debut single revolving around a friendship between a gay and straight man, with a story that runs totally out of control.

Get yourself to The Newsagency (74-76 Pyrmont Bridge Road, Annandale) on Thursday, March 27th. Doors open at 7pm, with the band kicking off a full set of Penelope’s original songs from 7:30 pm.

Tickets available via her website. Don’t miss out, her last show sold out!
